Kakenya's Dream Founder and President, Dr. Kakenya Ntaiya, is a world-renowned educator and advocate for girls' health and human rights. She has dedicated her life to creating lasting change both in rural communities in Kenya and across Africa. Dr. Ntaiya received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education in 2011. The Johnson Institute for Responsible Leadership jointly with the University Center for International Studies and the Ford Institute for Human Security are proud to honor Dr. Ntaiya with the 2023 Exemplary Leader Award.
